Each unit is meticulously renewed. The rebuilding process is very complex for good reason. All components such as stepper motors (make your guages move), backlight bulbs, voltage regulators, diodes, resistors, capacitors, oscillator, trip button, and microcontroller are all new. Each unit is meticulously renewed. The rebuilding process is very complex for good reason. All components such as stepper motors (make your guages move), backlight bulbs, voltage regulators, diodes, resistors, capacitors, oscillator, trip button, and microcontroller are all new. After replacing all the components and reflowing all solder joints on the connector, the board will be cleansed in an ultrasonic cleaner to ensure maximum cleanliness of the board and its components. Cleanliness is a major factor in increasing the life of the board. After Ultrasonic Cleaning, the board will be coated on both sides with modified conformal coating to protect the board and the components from heat, moisture, dust, and sudden temperature changes. This step alone will increase the life of the cluster significantly. Heat is the number one enemy of a circuit. This step prevents that from being an issue in the future. LEDs are used because they last at least 10 years longer than incandescent bulbs and they emit about 95 percent less heat.
